About the Chamber
Volunteer Opportunities
Ambassadors
Acts as the public relations
committee of the chamber, by assisting in ribbon cuttings, and
other chamber programs and events. Applicants must have at least
one year chamber experience and be recommended by a board member
or existing ambassador. The chamber limits the committee to 25.
Terms are one year long, and renewable in December each year.
Annual Meeting Committee
Schedules and plans all aspects of the
annual meeting held in January, except the selection of award
recipients. Budget and Finance Committee Develops the budget to
fund chamber programs and operations.
Education Committee
Works
with school system and community to help improve measurable
success indicators of students and helping prepare them for a
post-secondary education and tomorrow’s labor force.
Envision
South Fulton Taskforce
In coordination with the Atlanta Regional
Commission, the steering committee and participants will work
together to collaborate to create a strong action plan for
economic prosperity.
Golf Committee
Schedules and plans all
aspects of the annual golf tournament held in early fall.
Governmental Affairs Committee
Helps the Chamber be the voice of
business by researching and recommending action on legislative
issues and working with County and Municipal governments on
local issues that impact business.
Image and Branding Taskforce
Assists to create a strong and positive brand for the South
Fulton Chamber of Commerce to ultimately support the programs
and initiatives of the Chamber.
Marketing and Membership
Committee
Helps strengthen the chamber and grow its network by
recruiting and retaining businesses as members.
Small Business
Committee
Focuses on meeting the needs of small business owners,
such as providing counseling and educational programs.
Synergy
Business Expo
Schedules and plans all aspects of the annual Synergy Business
Expo held in late winter.
