About the Chamber
Mission
The mission of the South Fulton Chamber
of Commerce is to promote, advance and support the business,
civic and community interests of South Fulton County and to take
a leadership role in achieving these interests in an ethical and
lawful manner.
History
The South Fulton Chamber was originally
started in 1947 as the East Point Chamber of Commerce. In 1969
it merged with the College Park Chamber and changed its name to
the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce. Due to a weak economy in
the early 1990’s, both the South Fulton and the Dekalb Chambers
merged with the Atlanta Chamber for ten years and then split off
again in 2002 to devote more attention to local issues. Today’s
South Fulton Chamber has recruited strong leadership and
developed programs that will help create a strong local economy,
promote the community, provide networking opportunities and
represent the interests of business with government.
